Victoria Independent School District is proud to announce that Teralee Wagner, assistant principal of Rowland Elementary, has been named the 2026 Region 3 Assistant Principal of the Year by the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA).
This peer-based honor recognizes assistant principals across TEPSAโs 20 regions who demonstrate exceptional leadership and foster a culture of excellence for PKโ8 students on their campuses.
โTeralee has been instrumental in fostering a supportive and vibrant learning environment in her school community,โ said TEPSA Executive Director Harley Eckhart. โWe are honored to celebrate her leadership and unwavering commitment to ensuring Texas students thrive.โ
As a Region 3 honoree, Wagner is now eligible for selection as the 2026 National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) National Assistant Principal of the Year for Texas. Supported by Horace Mann, the national award recognizes leaders who demonstrate excellence through programs that support studentsโ academic and social development, build strong community partnerships, set high expectations for staff and students, and exhibit outstanding leadership within their schools.
Wagner and other regional honorees will be recognized at the TEPSA Legacy Leaders Celebration on Monday, June 8, at the Kalahari Resort in Round Rock.
